How We Fund
We have a non-traditional approach to funding, we don’t have an open portal or application process. We build our partnerships through connections, networks and introductions. We take an interest in key themes which align to our funding areas, we are always keen to make new connections, hear about new projects and establish potential partnerships.
Our Impact and Funding Goals…
DESIRED OUTCOMES
We want the organisations we fund to see us as; responsible, approachable and flexible partners in the growth and delivery of their activities, who understand the work they do and the value it adds. By establishing robust, trusting, and enduring relationships with the groups we support, we aim to become an integral part of their journey and celebrate their successes. We are committed to advocating and championing their work, amplifying their impact, and disseminating it within our networks to strengthen the broader position of the sector.

Activities to achieving our Goals –
We want the groups we support to –
- View Shaw Foundation as a trusted partner and advocate of the work they do.
- A supportive funder who trusts their process and their approach.
- A flexible funder who will work with them to ensure maximum benefit is delivered from the funding.
- A source of knowledge and awareness of key issues, with strong networks across Wales and the South West of England who can link groups and like minded individuals.
- To achieve these goals, we will strategically distribute our funding across sectors to ensure equal concentration across our core funding areas. This approach ensures our knowledge and relationships remain relevant and balanced, enabling us to have a more significant and sustainable impact.
- Our funding efforts will continue to be focused primarily on Wales and the South West of England.
